Cherry Ghost - Thirst for Romance (2007)

Today's album review is none other than Cherry Ghost's debut album "Thirst for Romance".
At first I can say I haven't heard of Cherry Ghost until these last few months of summer.
First lets have background on Cherry Ghost.
Cherry Ghost is an indie rock band that was formed in Bolton, England. Their current line-up is made up of Simon Aldred, Jim Rhodes, Ben Parsons, Phill Anderson, and Grenville Harrop. It was first just a solo career of Aldred, before becoming a whole band.
So far, they have 2 studio albums and a special appearance on the hit UK TV Show "Later....with Jools Holland."
The first track on the album was titled "Thirst for Romance". To me, the song is about a man remembering the past love life, and trying to get on with his life. It was a beautiful track, it had great vocals with a kick of country guitar.
The next track was called 4 AM. It had a soft guitar with great lyrics and vocals. This is one of the songs that stood out to me, because it makes you think. The song seemed if it had no flaws. It was another great track.
Another track that stood out to me was titled "People Help the People". This was about my favorite track from the album. It had a perfect piano melody with challenging lyrics. The lyrics go deep inside of you, down through the skin.
A track called "Roses" sent shivers down my spine. It featured great drums like a marching band, and good vocals. It has a great melody like one you'd hear in a coffee shop, but then it turns into a deep chorus symphony of amazing vocals, melodies that ring in your ears and a piano that doesn't disappoint.
This album was amazing for a debut. It of course had flaws, but for a debut, this was amazing.
Thank you for reading, and today's rating is 3.8 stars.
